Hooray for Fall Classes!
Fall ’20 registration is open!
The Center Dance is ELATED to offer a full program of classes, specially crafted to meet a broad range of needs and preferences. Visit our K-12 and Toddler/PreK class descriptions for information on Outdoor, Virtual and Small-Group In-Studio classes.*
Be sure to check out three brand NEW classes: Meadow Lark (grades 1-5), Feathered Things (grades 1-5) and Midweek Pajama Party (all ages).
Our first 8-week fall session begins Sunday, September 13th. Register through our Square Store or via email; but don’t delay! Many of these classes will fill up quickly.
*To ensure the safety of our community during the COVID-19 Pandemic, masks and physical distancing will be mandatory in both outdoor and in-studio classes this fall. The studio will continue to be sanitized according to CDC and state guidelines. The Center does not share an HVAC system with any of our neighboring businesses, and we will be opening windows and doors while classes are in session.
Midweek Pajama Party!
Get crazy! Get cozy! Get DOWN with Tiffany Joseph in Midweek Pajama Party, a family-friendly dance class delivered right to your living room! Learn basic hip hop steps, share some funky freestyle, and strike ALL the poses in freeze dance! Pajama Party will wrap each week with some sleepytime yoga, and maybe even a bedtime story.
This 8-week session begins Wednesday, September 16th.

Feathered Things
Feathered Things (VIRTUAL; 1 hour, grades 2-6) is a collaborative choreography class for dancers, dreamers and aspiring change makers. Through literature, discussion and improvisation, students will explore the theme of HOPE: how it sustains us, how it inspires us, and how we can harness it to build a more just and equitable world.
This 8-week session begins Sunday, September 13th, and will culminate in an informal, virtual sharing of student work.

Meadow Lark
Meadow Lark (OUTDOORS; 1 hour, grades 1-5) Come frolic with us in Nature’s own dance studio! Students in Meadow Lark will twirl through wildflowers, chase sunbeams and build dances celebrating the natural world.
Face-coverings are mandatory; safely distanced “mask breaks” will be scheduled as needed (contact us if your child requires a special exemption).
This 8-week session begins Wednesday, September 16th, and will culminate in an informal sharing of student work.

Virtual Summer Dance Intensives
There’s always room for one more at The Center’s virtual summer intensives: daily ballet, musical theater, and modern dance styles.
Open to students in grades 4-8. An intermediate level of ballet experience is recommended.

Summer Stories Word Play
We don’t need a beach to feel the sand between our toes!
Join us for a special OUTDOOR Word Play series, Saturday mornings at 10AM. This family-friendly class is geared toward kids ages 2-6. Caregiver attendance is mandatory (and participation is encouraged!)
Dates: July 1st-August 5th
Location: Groff Park in South Amherst
Tuition: $90 (6 classes); $80 (5 classes); $70 (4 classes). 50% discount for siblings.

Center Stage!
Curtains up!
The Center Dance is thrilled to announce Center Stage: a marvelous medley of musical theater, jazz and improvisational dance styles. Students will work with the fundamentals of theatrical dance, learn choreography straight off of Broadway, and master a “step, ball change!”
Whether your child is an aspiring performer, a Broadway enthusiast, or simply looking for a fabulous way to kick off the weekend, Center Stage is the place to be!
Recommended for kids in grades 4-6.
Mondays AND Fridays, 4:30-5:30 PM

Midweek Dance Party!
Dance your way through that Wednesday slump in Midweek Dance Party – The Center’s new class for elementary school kids with a weekly Wednesday early release (home school students, too!).
A boisterous blend of pop, freestyle and contemporary dance, THIS is a party you won’t want to miss!
2-3 PM
12-week session begins Wednesday, February 5th.
Tuition is $180.
