Class Attire

Class Attire – To maximize freedom of movement and to enable students and instructors to assess alignment, body position, etc, we request that students wear the following:

Ballet:

  • Leotards (any style, any color)
  • Black, pink or skin tone dance tights

OR

  • Black leggings or dance pants, and a level-colored tank or t-shirt (see color above)

WITH

  • Ballet slippers* (any style, any color)
  • Students may choose to wear a chiffon ballet skirt

Choreography Labs, Hip Hop, Center Stage, JUMP!, Journeys, Modern Movement, and Rhythm & Rhyme: Students may wear any of the following, in any color (patterns are welcome!):

  • leotards
  • t-shirts
  • leggings
  • tights
  • dance pants/shorts/sweats

FOOTWEAR (indoor):

    • Choreography Labs: bare feet or ballet slippers
    • Afrobeats: bare feet
    • Hip Hop: sneakers that are free from dirt (i.e., preferably NOT a pair worn outside of dance class)
    • Modern Movement: bare feet or ballet slippers
    • JUMP! Acro: bare feet
    • Journeys: Lyrical Movement: bare feet or ballet slippers
    • Rhythm & Rhyme: tap shoes (preferable; sneakers are also fine)
    • Center Stage: jazz shoes or ballet slippers 

IN ALL CLASSES, HAIR SHOULD BE PULLED BACK FROM FACE AND NECK.
