Join The Center Dance in Amherst on Sunday, December 18th for an exciting spin on a wintertime classic! It’s A 21st Century Nutcracker – dance styles from across the globe (and right next door!) set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score.
Curtains will rise in the Amherst Regional High School auditorium at 4:30 PM.

Garden of Verses: Wednesdays, 10-10:45 AM (ages 2-3)
Garden of Verses (45 minutes; caregivers attend) offers a gentle, joyful introduction to creative movement for toddlers and their caregivers. Using imagery, rhyme and song, children are guided through simple yet foundational movement patterns that promote kinesthetic awareness, coordination and focus. Storybook pages spring to life as children reimagine timeless classics and embody beloved characters; props, instruments and costumes enhance the magic. How hungry is your little caterpillar? Tuesday, 10/25 at 7PM: Ballet Conditioning (1 hour): A ballet workout designed to develop core strength, lengthen muscles, improve posture and increase stamina. Barre exercises provide a meditative strengthening and toning routine, while center work offers an opportunity for low-impact, fun cardio dance.
No dance experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and bare feet.
